This past Saturday was Halloween and, as we all know, that means that every girl from the ages of 15-25 (and some 47-year-olds) dressed, in essence, as prostitutes. Well, OK, maybe not prostitutes, but a “slutty” something. For example, a slutty Princess Jasmine, slutty pirate, slutty witch, slutty Catholic schoolgirl, slutty nurse, etc. There’s nothing wrong with baring that much skin in a costume, but since when has Halloween become Wear-A-Slutty-Outfit-Today?
I was in Austin, Texas this Halloween, and do you want to know what I was? Thomas Jefferson. That’s right. I was dressed as the 18th century version of America’s third president, and it was awesome.
Obviously, not a single person outside my group knew who I was, but that has to be expected. I was in Texas. No, but really, it was a freaking obscure and ridiculous costume, I get it.
