Austin Police said today Maurice Michael McKnight, 42, was arrested Tuesday in Bexar County in connection with a homicide at LaBare strip club earlier this month.
McKnight was booked and released Tuesday by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, an Austin police official said. Last week, police said he faced a $15,000 bail.
McKnight was charged last week with manslaughter, accused of hitting a man at the Austin night club on June 12, police said. The patron, 37-year-old Kelvin Monroe, died June 18 from brain hemorrhaging.
Austin police investigators said Monroe got into an argument with McKnight inside LaBare, a male strip club, located in the 6400 block of North Interstate 35. Soon after, officials said, McKnight, a dancer at the night club, slapped Monroe in the face.

Revelations of his infidelity came just days after Bullock won an Academy Award for The Blind Side and gushed a tribute to him while accepting her gong on stage in front of a huge audience and millions of people watching on television worldwide.

WASHINGTON — Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock has finalized her divorce from husband Jesse James who was linked to a stripper, People magazine reported Tuesday.
Bullock, 45, filed for divorce in April from James, 41, in Austin, Texas, where she lives. The two had been married for five years.
Bullock’s representative told the celebrity magazine the divorce is now final.
James, who hosts the reality TV show “Monster Garage,” issued a statement apologizing to his wife and children, and reportedly sought in-patient treatment at a clinic. It did not stop Bullock seeking a divorce though.
Official court papers published on the TMZ entertainment news website showed “the marriage had become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities,” preventing “any reasonable expectations of reconciliation.”

The two separated soon after allegations by tattooed stripper Michelle “Bombshell” McGee that she had been involved in an affair with James for several months.

GRAND JUNCTION – Thirty four year-old Paige Birgfeld seemed to lead a double life. She was a devoted mother of three living in Grand Junction, but also worked as an adult escort.
Three years after her disappearance, her family and investigators are still looking for answers.
“We certainly we wish we could find her and then we wish those who harmed her are brought to justice,” her father Frank Birgfeld said.
When she first went missing in 2007 a massive search effort was launched. Volunteers and law enforcement officials searched the area for any sign of Paige after her car was found burned. Eventually, investigators found her checkbook, blockbuster and insurance cards, and a shoe.
Those findings gave the family hope that Paige would be found as well.
“At the time we felt we were active and making progress. Now we not only don’t feel we’re making progress but we feel with the silence of the police that it’s butting your head against the wall,” Frank said.

The divorce between Sandra Bullock and Jesse James is final, TMZ reported Monday, just two months after the Oscar-winning actress announced she was splitting from her motorcycle mogul husband in the wake of a string of lurid revelations linking James to a stripper and other women.
Both parties have signed the final divorce documents and they have been filed with the clerk’s office in Travis County, Texas, according to TMZ.
Bullock, 45, told People Magazine in April that she was “sad and scared” about the end of her five-year marriage.
Bullock, who took a break from the spotlight when her husband’s affair was revealed in March, has increasingly been raising her public profile after the scandal, revealing she had secretly adopted a three-month-old baby boy prior to her split with James, 41, and appearing on numerous award shows.
