Austin Adult Entertainment: VHS Doc REWIND THIS! Needs Your Help! Trailer & Kickstarter Live!

Filed under: Austin adult entertainment — highheels at 10:49 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2012

That enthusiasm for films in all of their forms and formats has inspired a group of filmmakers to dig into the historical significance of the VHS tape. We take home video for granted these days, but in the early ’80s this was a huge deal. There was no streaming, no one was mailing video tapes to your house, it was all up to you. We finally had the ability to see whatever we wanted whenever we wanted without relying on repertory film screenings or late night cable selections. The power was in the hands of the people.
Rewind This! A VHS Love Story is just that, a labor of love among three fans who have spent much of their own time and money putting together this document. Normally I’m not one for pimping Kickstarter campaigns, but co-director Josh Johnson bribed me with a tape of Penelope Spheeris’ Dudes at Fantastic Fest, so I’m in the bag for these guys. They just opened their …

MISSOULA — A man wanted in a Missoula County prostitution case sicced a pit bull on Texas police and leapt from a second-story window to avoid them.
It didn’t work.
Terrence Tyrell Edwards, 29, was being held in an Austin, Texas, jail on Thursday on a $250,000 warrant for an alleged probation violation in Missoula County.
Edwards received a suspended sentence last year after pleading guilty in Missoula County District Court to a charge of promoting prostitution.
On Wednesday, his 20-year-old brother Leroy Clifford Edwards appeared in Missoula County Justice Court on a charge of promoting prostitution in a case involving two sisters. Charging documents against him quoted women accusing both brothers of pimping them.

AUSTIN — The parents of a 34-year old Cedar Park woman found dead in an Austin dumpster  talked Friday to clear the air about their daughter’s life.
“She was a great person. She was well loved. She had lots of friends and she had a good home life,” said Bob Harvey about his daughter Stephanie Harvey.
On Thursday, Austin police homicide detectives arrested 30-year old James Grady for Harvey’s murder.
Grady told police he hired Harvey as a prostitute and claimed that she stole some of his property including jewelry.
“No matter what she did, to get the drugs or whatever she might have done, I don’t think justified what happened to her and the way the person handled her,” added Bob.

Austin Escorts: At forum, variety of cures offered for higher education ills

Filed under: Austin escorts — goodtimegirl at 2:25 am on Saturday, January 14, 2012

There was little talk about that controversy at Friday’s discussion, which focused more on the soaring costs of higher education. Nationwide, tuition has gone up four times faster than inflation and two times faster than health care spending in the past 25 years, said Thomas Lindsay, the policy foundation’s director for higher education. Students who graduate with debt this year are projected to have on average $29,000 in outstanding loans, which comes to about $40,000 with interest, he said.
Richard Vedder, a professor of economics at Ohio University and a senior fellow at the policy foundation, cited low graduation rates, administrative bloat and the production of more degree holders than the job market can absorb as factors in the cost spiral. He said faculty members bear some of the blame as well, for a failure to innovate.
“We do, more or less, teach the same way Socrates did 2,400 years ago,” Vedder said. “Teaching’s the only profession, with the possible exception of prostitution, where there’s been no productivity advance in 2,400 years.”

Austin Strip Clubs: Recap: ‘Project Runway’ – ‘A Night at the Opera’

Filed under: Austin strip clubs — angel at 7:13 am on Friday, January 13, 2012

Anthony thinks it’s an insult to couture to call this challenge a couture challenge. He thinks it should be called really, really, really pumped-up prom dresses. I hope Anthony doesn’t go home for a long, long time because he always has the best commentary. If this whole design thing doesn’t work out for him, I hope he can get a gig as a stand-up comic or, well, maybe Angela’s job. There could be a vacancy.
Mila thinks Austin’s gown is basic. Mila, unlike Anthony, manages to make almost anything she says sound petty and spiteful, even when it’s not particularly critical (she doesn’t seem to mind Michael’s dress). And, ironically, that will make the producers want to keep her around long after she runs out of good ideas.
Runway time! We have Georgina Chapman, Isaac Mizrahi and, of course, our guest judges James Mischka and Mark Badgley.
The two-tiered skirt is too simple, the bodice is childish. I had higher hopes for this, as the fabric was a lot of fun.
What’s with those front panels? It looks cheap, like stripper harem pants.

Austin Strip Clubs: Former stripper pleads guilty, gets five years in robbery of patron

Filed under: Austin strip clubs — angel at 2:00 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2012

Former Austin stripper Jessica Krause-Patterson pleaded guilty today to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to five years in prison in the April 2010 robbery of her customer Elmore Allen, who died in the incident.
Krause-Patterson, 21, (at right) danced under the stage name “Sin” at the all-nude Hot Bodies on Burleson Road in Southeast Austin. Her sentence came as part of a plea bargain with prosecutors. As part of the deal, a murder charge was dismissed.
Krause-Patterson had declared her innocence in the robbery and attack on Allen, 49, at her June trial for murder and aggravated robbery, which ended in a mistrial when jurors could not reach a verdict.
Her boyfriend, Jon Tyrell Banks, was tried with her at the June trial. He was tried again last month by himself, was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 23 years in prison.

The Bachelor Recap: Week Two in Whine Country
Hello Rose Lovers in Austin, Texas and around the globe.  Welcome back to another week of Prom! Err, I mean The Backstabber. Dang, I mean The Bachelor!
So, which train wreck will leave this week all “Ben”jured, fuzzy-headed and weepy? More importantly, who will joust on ponies in badger outfits holding swords of super-sized tampons and donning shields made of sheep’s wool? Okay, nobody. Unfortunately – because that might actually be marginally entertaining. But let’s see what does transpire this week on “Whack-a-Doodle Fest 2012,” or, The Bachelor…
To get things started, seventeen Dental Hygienists’ and a VIP stripper with a hefty set of jowls named Blakeley (AKA “Horsely”) gallop into Ben’s hometown of Sonoma, California. Clink. Clink. Drink up, “ladies!”
Kacie B. (for “Baton”) gets the first date card. They play chopsticks. And Kacie admits, “Ben brings out things in me I haven’t “Ben” in touch with in a long time…” As she twirls around …

Austin Strip Clubs: The Good Wife Recap: Clause 63

Filed under: Austin strip clubs — angel at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2012

This week, the firm is getting sued for $44 million by the ex-husband of a woman David Lee helped get divorced. The husband cheated with a stripper and David Lee got her a lot of money and full custody of their daughter. However, the couple has since got back together, and now they’re accusing Lockhart Gardner of “alienation of affection,” or for intentionally breaking them up. In the settlement two years prior, the wife won control of Bubble Elastic (whatever that is), a company her husband owned and that LG helped her sell at a loss, while of course pocketing some of that return. Now the company is worth $44 million, and the husband and wife think that money would be theirs if LG hadn’t meddled. The case managed to wring great tension out of paperwork and misfiling, but there was much, much more to be grateful for this episode. Below, a list:

Austin Strip Clubs: ‘The Good Wife’ Recap: "Alienation Of Affection"

Filed under: Austin strip clubs — angel at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2012

Meanwhile the case becomes blurry and Lee seems to be covering up his mistakes. Allegations are pushed forward making it look like he once hired a stripper for the husband to get drunk with. He did get a DUI before the original court case but he was never told to sleep with her. While Diane questions David on his motives Kalinda notices that original documents can’t be found to ultimately save the firm and get them out of this mess. She sees that Alicia is the one that was responsible for them and at that time she was only six months new to the company. After giving Kalinda a brief memory recount on where she was that day she remembers signing it but not filing it. David comes in later with it in his hand saying he found it but Alicia goes to Diane thinking he just forged another paper. But to Diane, it doesn’t matter. Even though there are holes poke …

Austin Strip Clubs: Austin couple killed in North Texas crash

Filed under: Austin strip clubs — angel at 11:12 pm on Friday, January 6, 2012

A fire department dive team found a crashed 2010 Porsche Panamera sedan submerged under the canal with two people dead inside, Argumaniz said. Eddins was in the driver’s seat, and Debeuckelaer was in the passenger’s seat, he said. Both had their seat belts on.
Authorities removed the Porsche from the canal, but learned there might have been a third occupant, Argumaniz said. On Thursday, the dive team found Lark’s body, he said.
Argumaniz said their investigation indicates Lark and Debeuckelaer attended the hockey game in Dallas on Tuesday night. They were then seen at a hotel bar in Southlake, where they started talking to Eddins, Argumaniz said. He said police believe the couple did not know Eddins before that evening.
Wednesday before 1 a.m., the three left the bar together and traveled to a strip club in Dallas, Argumaniz said. They were seen leaving between 2:45 a.m. and 3 a.m., he said.
